Origami Star Lantern

March 8, 2012

I have a weakness for origami, so when I saw this star votive holder  at How About Orange, I had to try it. It was a little more difficult than other origami projects I have done. Not being a perfectionist sometimes causes problems with my origami – my first attempt was wonky and lopsided… But on the second try I was a bit more careful and it came out alright. The instructions I used can be found at Passengers On a Little Spaceship.

These would be a fun simple centerpiece for an outdoor dinner party. Or fill them with candy and they would be great for a kids party. That’s the great thing about origami, the possibilities are endless!
