Thanks Giving {24}

March 2, 2012

Today I am thankful for a day off! Of course, I seem to be getting a lot of days off lately, but I always appreciate them. Today I am planning to work on a few projects and maybe even do some sewing. Maybe. Either way I will be enjoying this long weekend!

I am thankful for my new knitting book, The Principles of Knitting by June Hemmons Hiatt! My mother-in-law gave it to me last week and it is amazing. It as everything – EVERYTHING. The explanations are thorough and the scope comprehensive. I am pretty sure I will refer to this book all the time. Thank you!

I am thankful that I was able to do some baking this week. I made some of Giada’s Oatmeal, Cranberry & Chocolate Chunk cookies, one of my favorite cookie recipes right now. I used half whole wheat flour, only because I ran out of regular flour. I actually think these are better without the whole wheat flour, it makes the texture a little more dry than I like… Anyway, these are delicious. I will probably never make cookies with chocolate chips again, the chunks are so much better. Thanks Giada!

Finally, I am thankful for this really excellent, epic if you will, youtube video. Soooo good! Timmy showed it to me the other night and I knew I had to share it. I’m not generally a fan of sharing random youtube videos, but this one is really good. Make sure you watch it with the music, it definitely adds to the intensity. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Have an epic weekend!

    I’m thankful my son delivered to me some of those oatmeat whatever cookies earlier this week. I happen to be eating one right now, real-time. They taste great! Thanks Melissa.

    LOVE the frog video – and the cookies sound fabulous too! I’m thankful for a rainy Saturday morning with coffee and Uncle Joe home! It was a busy week. Have a great weekend.
    Love,
    Aunt Rose
