Shore Thing

September 19, 2011

Timmy and I went to the Jersey Shore one last time for the season last weekend. Timmy’s aunt and uncle have a house in Wildwood Crest, NJ,  and they were nice enough to let us use it for a couple days. We tried to go down to the beach on Saturday morning, but we only lasted about 20 minutes because the wind was really intense. Then we tried to go for a bike ride, since it was less windy off the beach, and it started raining when we were 3 miles from the house, and rained the rest of the weekend… And once we got back to the house, a head cold settled itself right into my sinuses. So… it wasn’t exactly the romantic getaway we had envisioned, but it was nice to be away from home for a couple nights! Nothing like a moderately disastrous vacation to make you appreciate home, haha!

Thank you so much to Aunt Tricia and Uncle Phil for letting us use their beach house!!

Oh, and look forward to a guest post by Aunt Rose later this week! Woot! Woot!

It’s still a little weird to me that Timmy is allowed to go the beach for the weekend with a girl!
Glad you had a, let’s call it cozy, weekend.

What a pretty picture – I like the black and white. The ocean looks pretty too. Makes me want to have a weekend at the beach!

The pictures are pretty. I’m sorry athe weather was lousy but I hope you had a good time anyway. Did you make it to Cape May?

We made it briefly to Cape May, we tried going to the Lobster House, but the Firefighter’s Convention was happening in Wildwood, so there was a big wait. Plus, I wasn’t feeling well, so I wasn’t up for much walking around… We did go to the Bayview though, and that was good! We had a great dinner, and we really appreciate you letting us use the house!!
